Flip4Good began after I walked away from a career I had spent two decades building.

I left corporate experiential marketing without another job or a roadmap. My mental health had made the choice plain: staying carried the greater risk.

​

So I quit.

​

I stayed home. Cooked. Read. Took classes. For once, I stopped engineering the next move.

​

Then I signed up for a single volunteer shift at The Midnight Mission’s HomeLight Family Living program.

​

That night, while playing Uno with kids around a dining table, I looked around the room. Harsh overhead light. Bare walls. Mismatched furniture. Stained carpet. The people brought energy, warmth, and connection. The built environment worked against all of it.

I had spent my career shaping experiences through light, sound, flow, timing, and detail. I knew those choices shaped human response. That same rigor belonged in the built environment.

Leaving created the opening.

​

That night gave Flip4Good its purpose.
