Flip4Good’s Unit 12 Nominated for 2026 CoreNet SoCal REmmy Award
The Record

Flip4Good’s Unit 12 project at The Midnight Mission’s HomeLight Family Living has been nominated for a 2026 REmmy Award by the Southern California Chapter of CoreNet Global.
Unit 12: A Trauma-Informed Workplace for Behavioral Health and Economic Mobility is nominated in the Innovative Workplace, 0–15,000 SF category.
Unit 12 transformed a 950-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment into two private therapy suites and a business center for families living at HomeLight Family Living. The new space gives residents dedicated places to meet with therapists and service providers, access computers and resources, complete paperwork, search and apply for jobs, study, and work toward greater economic independence.
The project also created a more intentional working environment for the professionals serving residents. Therapy, case management, employment preparation, and other services often involve private conversations, sustained concentration, and moments of stress or vulnerability. Unit 12 was designed around those realities, with privacy, acoustics, lighting, furniture, spatial organization, and sensory experience shaping how each room functions.
That makes its recognition in the Innovative Workplace category especially meaningful to the project itself. Unit 12 expands the workplace conversation beyond the traditional corporate office and into a human services setting where the built environment supports both the people receiving services and the people delivering them.
Trauma-informed design guided the project from concept through implementation. Flip4Good’s work centered the experience of the people using the space and translated that understanding into practical design decisions that support safety, regulation, privacy, agency, and everyday use.
The nominated project team includes The Midnight Mission, Flip4Good, HOK, BCCI Construction, and Cumming Group, bringing together homelessness services, trauma-informed design, architecture, construction, and project management to deliver the space.
CoreNet SoCal’s REmmy Awards recognize achievement across Southern California’s corporate real estate community. Unit 12 joins this year’s nominees across workplace projects ranging from corporate offices and studios to community-centered environments. The 2026 REmmy Awards & Gala will take place November 12 at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
