Vance K. Jackson brings over 17 years of cross-sector leadership experience, spanning business, government, philanthropy, and community impact. He currently serves as CEO of NEXX Consulting Group, where he advises mission-driven organizations across strategy, fundraising, program design, and evaluation.
Previously, Vance was part of the executive team in the Mayor’s Office of the City of Detroit, where he helped raise over $1 billion in public, private, and philanthropic investment to support the city's social impact agenda. He spent more than a decade at J.P. Morgan, specializing in treasury solutions for multinational firms with revenues of $100 million to $2 billion.
Vance is also a lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, where he teaches courses on grant writing, social enterprise, and community development. He serves on the University’s Financial Affairs Advisory Committee, advising leadership on the institution’s $2.7 billion budget.
A first-generation college graduate, Vance holds both a B.A. in Sociology and an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan. He lives in Detroit with his wife, Nina, and their two children.
